Discover over 700 years of history at your own pace. Using our paper guide you can follow the marked stations, or using your phone you can listen to our church historians weave the epic tale of Galway’s past while you soak in this atmospheric medieval masterpiece.

Within the church we also have a new exhibit which charts the story of Galway/Gaillimh from its Gaelic fort beginnings to the modern bohemian city that exists today.

This church is where Christopher Columbus went to pray. It’s a very old and beautiful church. Don’t forget to look up and see the blue dome on top! It’s amazing!! Old cemetery in the back that is worth checking out. The great thing is that it’s in the centre of town, where you can go any time.
