Handel’s Messiah
Galway Messiah is a fresh approach to presenting Handel’s seasonal oratorio, born right here in Galway in 2025 to overwhelming acclaim. It returns this year, quickly becoming what will undoubtedly be an annual seasonal favourite. A performance by the people of Galway for the people of Galway, this is a truly cross-community production in which amateur singers share a stage with Galway’s professional musicians, all directed by Mark Duley.
This performance offers an opportunity to the St. Nicholas’ Singers and other adults and children throughout the community to work with Galway’s professional choir Resurgam and soloists, and Galway’s baroque instrumental ensemble Vespera to bring a uniquely Galway performance to life.
The limited number of tickets will be much in demand, so book early to join us for a truly unforgettable performance of Handel’s Messiah, in St. Nicholas’ Collegiate Church in the heart of medieval Galway!
