With its impressive mosaics and sun-drenched gardens\, it inspired the creation of many wonderful compositions throughout the centuries. Several of those masterpieces feature in this unique programme. \nBIO\nIdentical Twins Peter and Zoltan Katona have given recitals in major concert venues throughout the world including performances at Carnegie Hall in New-York\, Wigmore Hall in London\, The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam\, The Konzerthaus in Vienna and the Suntory Hall in Tokyo. They effortlessly transfer from strictly classical\, into more popular musical genres and played together with renowned musicians such as Yo-Yo Ma and world class ensembles such as the BBC Concert Orchestra. As the classical soloists of the “Night of the Proms” concerts they performed live to half a million people in arenas across Europe. They have won over ten international prizes at major competitions among others in New York and in London. They have released 11 CDs and their recordings featured in the US blockbuster TV series ‘Fargo’ and in a Broadway show with Hollywood star Hugh Jackman. They have been invited to perform for major international TV and radio stations such as the BBC\, RTÉ (The Late Late Show) and many others. \nGeneral admission at 7 PM. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Free Concert on 12th July at 7pm as we host the Foothill Academy of Vocal Arts. \nA little about the group: Festival Chorus is a mixed choir of adult and teen singers from Foothill Academy of Vocal Arts (FAVA)\, Monrovia\, California. A unique aspect of this choir is the number of family groupings with singers performing alongside their parent or siblings. FAVA\, a non-profit community choir program founded in 2006 by Dianne Harmel\, offers choral training for children through adults. The Festival Chorus\, under the direction of Keith Harmel\, performs an array of choral music ranging from the Renaissance to Contemporary eras. The choir is excited to be singing in the beautiful country of Austria as their first international tour destination. \nDirector Bios\nKeith Harmel\, M.M. is highly regarded as a conductor for his sensitivity to text and nuance. He has prepared and directed choirs for special events including a commissioned premiere at a California Association of Professional Music Teachers conference\, and a multi-media concert at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. His education includes a B.M. in Composition from Azusa Pacific University in California and an M.M. in Choral Conducting from Georgia State University. \nDianne Harmel\, M.A.\, is the founder and director of FAVA. In addition to directing FAVA’s choirs for children and youth\, she is a respected voice teacher in the private studio and university settings. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Free Concert with the Georgia Festival Chorus & the Choristers of St. Nicholas’ Schola Cantorum: An Evening of Beautiful Choral Music \nGeorgia Festival Chorus (GFC) is an auditioned community choir based in the Atlanta area\, boasting over 100 talented singers. Known both regionally and internationally\, GFC captivates audiences with stirring performances of sacred classics\, anthems\, hymns\, spirituals\, and folk songs. Founded in 1987 by the esteemed basso Frank Boggs (1927-2021)\, the Chorus honors his legacy by continually striving for musical excellence and integrity under the artistic direction of David Scott\, a founding member who has led the ensemble since 2019. \nDavid Scott – Artistic Director\nGFC Artistic Director David Scott stepped into that role in 2019 and has sung and assisted in directing the chorus since its formation in 1987. He began his musical journey as a boy soprano; in high school\, he studied voice and sang in multiple advanced choral groups. David continued his studies at Northern Kentucky University where he earned degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Education\, and he holds a Master of Church Music from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has directed choirs since 1975\, and has sung with countless choirs and ensembles as a baritone soloist. David was a full-time minister of music before pursuing a career in technology\, from which he has recently retired. He is married to Jean Kleman Scott\, and they have two daughters\n\nBarbara McIver – Managing Director\nManaging Director Barbara McIver has been a member of GFC since 2007 and has served as Treasurer since 2015. Her interest in music and art began at a young age with private piano and art lessons. During high school and college\, she joined choral groups\, studied voice privately\, and began working as a fine artist under her maiden name Barbara Walsh. After earning degrees from Chicago’s American Academy of Art and Illinois Benedictine University\, Barbara enjoyed a three-decade career at AT&T/Bell Laboratories in both systems engineering and senior management roles before retiring as a Senior Systems Architect. She currently serves on the board of the Atlanta Baroque Orchestra and is a member of Cherokee Arts Center in Canton\n\nThe Choristers of St. Nicholas’ Schola Cantorum – the children’s choir at St. Nicholas’ Church – are comprised of students across Galway aged 8-15.  They are under the direction of the church’s Musical Director\, Mark Duley.  Auditions typically take place in the autumn\, with the limited number of placements being highly sought after.

DESCRIPTION:Prior Lake High School Tour Choir is composed of auditioned students in grades 10–12 from four curricular choirs. Under the direction of Mr. Rob Hahn and Mrs. Randi Erlandson\, the PLHS Choral Department includes nine choirs that rehearse daily and perform major works such as Vivaldi’s Gloria\, Mozart’s Coronation Mass in C\, and Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living. PLHS Choirs have toured internationally\, including performances in Italy at St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sorrento Cathedral\, and are now really looking forward to performing in Galway as part of their 2026 Ireland tour. \nIn collaboration with Coole Music: Coole Music and Arts was founded in 2005 with the aim to create a space for children and young people to learn\, enjoy and perform classical music in all its forms. With over 200 members and numerous orchestras and ensembles\, the school is open to anyone interested in learning music. DESCRIPTION:The Eagan High School Tour Choir is made up of dedicated students from four different curricular choirs in grades 10–12. Tour Choir members are high-achieving students\, many of whom excel in Advanced Placement and college-level courses\, athletics\, theatre\, clubs\, volunteer organizations\, speech\, debate\, and National Honor Society.
