SUMMARY:Prior Lake High School Tour Choir
DESCRIPTION:Prior Lake High School Tour Choir is composed of auditioned students in grades 10–12 from four curricular choirs. Under the direction of Mr. Rob Hahn and Mrs. Randi Erlandson\, the PLHS Choral Department includes nine choirs that rehearse daily and perform major works such as Vivaldi’s Gloria\, Mozart’s Coronation Mass in C\, and Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living. PLHS Choirs have toured internationally\, including performances in Italy at St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sorrento Cathedral\, and are now really looking forward to performing in Galway as part of their 2026 Ireland tour. \nIn collaboration with Coole Music: Coole Music and Arts was founded in 2005 with the aim to create a space for children and young people to learn\, enjoy and perform classical music in all its forms. With over 200 members and numerous orchestras and ensembles\, the school is open to anyone interested in learning music. Training from a young age develops life skills such as patience\, self-confidence\, relaxation and concentration.  \nFree Admission to this event

Bursting with colour\, drama and breathtaking energy\, these concertos remain as thrilling today as they were 300 years ago. \nThe fireworks continue with Camille Saint-Saëns’ Introduction et Rondo Capriccioso — a dazzling showpiece of flair\, virtuosity and irresistible rhythmic fire. \nClosing the concert is Edward Elgar’s Serenade for Strings\, one of the most cherished works in the English repertoire — warm\, noble and deeply lyrical. \n​Patrick Rafter is recognised and celebrated as one of Ireland’s foremost classical musicians\, acclaimed for his mastery of the violin and extraordinary musicianship. A protege of the legendary violinist\, Maxim Vengerov\, Rafter has taken to the stage as a soloist\, director\, conductor\, and recitalist across the world. He has collaborated with the foremost masters in today’s musical landscape\, sharing the stage as a soloist with iconic performers such as the aforementioned Maxim Vengerov\, Schlomo Mintz\, Barry Douglas\, and John O’Conor.​ \n​ \nLuminosa’s performances are compelling\, powerful and heart-rending. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Free Concert with the Georgia Festival Chorus & the Choristers of St. Nicholas’ Schola Cantorum: An Evening of Beautiful Choral Music \nGeorgia Festival Chorus (GFC) is an auditioned community choir based in the Atlanta area\, boasting over 100 talented singers. Known both regionally and internationally\, GFC captivates audiences with stirring performances of sacred classics\, anthems\, hymns\, spirituals\, and folk songs. Founded in 1987 by the esteemed basso Frank Boggs (1927-2021)\, the Chorus honors his legacy by continually striving for musical excellence and integrity under the artistic direction of David Scott\, a founding member who has led the ensemble since 2019. \nDavid Scott – Artistic Director\nGFC Artistic Director David Scott stepped into that role in 2019 and has sung and assisted in directing the chorus since its formation in 1987. He began his musical journey as a boy soprano; in high school\, he studied voice and sang in multiple advanced choral groups. David continued his studies at Northern Kentucky University where he earned degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Education\, and he holds a Master of Church Music from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has directed choirs since 1975\, and has sung with countless choirs and ensembles as a baritone soloist. David was a full-time minister of music before pursuing a career in technology\, from which he has recently retired. He is married to Jean Kleman Scott\, and they have two daughters\n\nBarbara McIver – Managing Director\nManaging Director Barbara McIver has been a member of GFC since 2007 and has served as Treasurer since 2015. Her interest in music and art began at a young age with private piano and art lessons. During high school and college\, she joined choral groups\, studied voice privately\, and began working as a fine artist under her maiden name Barbara Walsh. After earning degrees from Chicago’s American Academy of Art and Illinois Benedictine University\, Barbara enjoyed a three-decade career at AT&T/Bell Laboratories in both systems engineering and senior management roles before retiring as a Senior Systems Architect. She currently serves on the board of the Atlanta Baroque Orchestra and is a member of Cherokee Arts Center in Canton\n\nThe Choristers of St. Nicholas’ Schola Cantorum – the children’s choir at St. Nicholas’ Church – are comprised of students across Galway aged 8-15.  They are under the direction of the church’s Musical Director\, Mark Duley.  Auditions typically take place in the autumn\, with the limited number of placements being highly sought after.

DESCRIPTION:FREE Afternoon concert\nTalented singers from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Chamber singers will be performing a variety of sacred\, spiritual and traditional songs for mixed voices.\nThe UTC Chattanooga Singers is a concert choir of male and female voices that performs a wide variety of music from a cappella works to major works with full orchestra. They have a long tradition of performing in the Chattanooga area\, throughout the United States\, and abroad.\nDr. Kevin Ford is the current director\, and the membership is open to students of all majors through audition.\nThe repertoire for the upcoming concert by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Chamber Singers showcases a rich blend of sacred\, spiritual and traditional music\, reflecting both Irish and international influences. The programme includes works such as “Justorum animae” by C. V. Stanford\, and “Ava Maria” composed by Seamas de Barra. Colin Mawby’s “Alleluia\, Christus Resurrexit” and Fiontán Ó Cearbhaill’s “Suantraí ár Slánaitheora” add further depth\, while the 14th-century “Prophetarum Presignata” from the Dublin Troper highlights the choir’s appreciation for historical music. Contemporary pieces are also featured\, including Michael McGlynn’s “An Oiche (The Night)”\, Ethan McGrath’s “Prayer of St. Patrick”\, and Spencer Wiles’ “The Walking on the Water”. Eleanor Daley’s “Set Me As A Seal” appears twice\, demonstrating its popularity. The concert concludes with cherished hymns and spirituals\, such as “Be Thou My Vision”\, “In Bright Mansions Above”\, and “Oh you must have that true religion”.\nThis diverse selection promises an engaging experience\, blending classical choral works with Irish melodies and spiritual songs\, under the direction of Dr. Kevin Ford.
