SUMMARY:Stone Carving Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we host a series of workshops for the series How to Build a Church\, part of National Heritage Week\nTwo days of Stone Carving Workshops with Dominic Keogh of Momento Mori Stonework\nJoin us in the medieval surroundings of St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church where traditional Stonemason Dominic Keogh will introduce participants to the techniques used by Medieval stone carvers to create the stunning features we see all around the church and city. Over 6 hours\, participants will gain hands-on experience at carving their own replica of one of the “faceless angels” wings from the church\, an intricate historical design that will allow participants the chance to gain knowledge in tool skills\, dropping a background\, V cutting and relief carving.
