DESCRIPTION:Arvo Pärt at 90\n\n\n\n\nChamber Choir Ireland\n\n\n\n\nConductor Nils Schweckendiek\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIreland’s national chamber choir celebrates Arvo Pärt’s 90th birthday.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArvo Pärt is one of the most influential and widely performed living composers today\, known for his highly original ‘tintinnabuli’ musical language inspired by the resonances of church bells.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nChamber Choir Ireland celebrates the great Estonian composer’s 90th birthday with a programme of his works conducted by Nils Schweckendiek\, Artistic Director of the Helsinki Chamber Choir.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe programme was selected by by Pärt’s long-time artistic collaborator—and former Artistic Director of Chamber Choir Ireland—Paul Hillier.
